How To Achieve The Hottest Hairstyle Of The Season
Straight or curls. These two hairstyling options have been around for such a long time that we almost began to think these were the only two that existed. Well, not anymore! The hottest hairstyle of the season is neither sleek straight or bouncy curls! It is crimp! Yes, the perfect cross between straight and curly, the crimped hair is back in trend.
The last time this style became hugely popular was way back in the 80s. Back then, the tightly crimped hair was a big boom but just as all other trends it died down along the way. However, in recent months it has made a huge comeback. Everyone in Hollywood seems to be loving the trend, especially the Kardashian-Jenner clan who seems to be its biggest advocate. So, if you’re into doing something new to your hair and want to learn how to achieve the crimped look for yourself, keep on reading!
Using a hair crimper:
The modern crimped hairstyle is slightly different from its older version. As opposed to the tightly crimped hair that was trendy back in time, the modern version is a lot more soft. In order to create this hairstyle, you will need a hair crimping tool. This tool is also relatively new in the market. It contains 3 curling rods and clamp. To use it, all you need to do is section off your hair into big pieces( approximately 4 inches) and clamp the hair into the tool. You need to first clamp the top part of the hair section and wait for 10 to 15 seconds and then do the lower the parts till you reach the ends. Each time clamping the hair into the iron for 10-15 seconds. Repeat the process for all your hair sections and you’re done! You can add some texturizing spray to the roots of your hair to give it more volume as well. Or you can opt for a sea salt spray and get a “beachy” look.
If you don’t want to expose your hair to heat or if you don’t want to invest in another tool, you can easily achieve a similar look with braids. This is a great method to use if you’re wanting to try the look but aren’t sure whether you will like it or not. So, to get the crimped effect without heat, you need to start off with freshly washed hair. Let the hair dry till it feels damp and then section it into 4. Now braid each section of your hair and wait it gets completely dry. This method works best when you shower in the evening and let the hair dry in braids through the night. When the hair is dry, all you have to do is open up your braids and you’ve got crimped hair. If you want the look to last all day, take a small amount of hair jell, rub it in your palms and scrunch the hair. That’s it, you’re done!
We hope you enjoyed learning about this new hairstyle and will be willing to try it out for yourselves.
